Throughout his 28 year long professional career in different National and International development organizations, Mr. Salam gained experience in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects. He worked, among others, for BRAC, CARE-Bangladesh, Terre Des Hommes France, ILO and UNDP-Bangladesh for around 14 years. Starting his career as a development worker at the grassroots level, he worked in different managerial positions. In 1996, with his experience and vision, as well as the support of a group of dedicated development professionals and nationally and internationally reputed researchers, he founded Development Wheel (DEW).

Mr. Shah Abdus Salam completed his Masters in Sociology from the University of Dhaka in 1986. His areas of interests include Fair Trade issues, Livelihood security, Human Rights and Good Governance, Business Development Services and Climate change. He is an active member of many different national and international development networks such as MDF, ECOTA, My Right Campaign, We Can Campaign, CUP, SUPRO, WFTO, WFTO Asia, Civicus, AWED, ICSFD, WFDA, Climate action Network South Asia-CANSA, HIC and IAVE etc. As an active member of these networks, he has participated in many national and international conferences, meetings, seminars and also has traveled to more than thirty countries around the globe.


Shanti Pada Saha

Shanti Pada Saha is working with DEW as a Manager, Accounts & Admin. He completed his B.Com (Pass) from Dhaka University and M. Com (Management) from the National University. He has 20 years of experience in the development sector. Furthermore, he worked for 18 years at PROSHIKA Manobik Unnayan Kendra. He is especially skilled in operating accounting systems, providing logistics support and resolving admin issues. He is capable of maintaining strong liaisons with all stakeholders. Furthermore, he is very skilled in monitoring projects, as well as designing and planning them.

 
Tasnuva Zaman (Linda)

Tasnuva Zaman (Linda) is a Program Officer at DEW in the Dhaka head office. She completed her degree in Business Administration and Business Economics at California University in Los Angeles. She has completed a degree in Japanese and graduated with honours in Computer Science and Information Technology from Osaka University of Computer Nihon Gakuin, Japan. Earlier she has been an intern at the Xerox corporation in California. She has been working in Management and Customer Service for 5 years in California. She considers the agricultural sector as the most important sector of the Bangladeshi economy and sees it as transforming from a stagnant to a dynamic and developing sector. Because thousands of years ago people of this region were settled in small villages and  as their life style has been based on agriculture for generations this is also reflected in the country's art, its customs, its crafts and textile items. She likes to participate and help taking initiatives for improving the life style of these artisans and cultivators. 

 

Biddut Kumar Paul

Biddut Kumar Paul is a development practitioner. He has worked in FPP project of CARE, CEPA project of UNDP, World Vision, Hellen Killer International, and Agriculture Extension. He has 17 years of professional experience on IGA, enterprise development, climate change, strengthening Union parishad, education, horticulture, partnership development, staff management, agriculture, food security, nutrition, awareness campaign and advocacy. He has completed M.S in Environmental Science from Agriculture University, Mymensigh.

Mr. Al Amin has been involved with Bangladesh Students’ Union (a student organization) from 2000 to 2015.He has lots of experience in frequent data collection, group discussion, preparation and presentation of various social and scientific studies. He is capable of quick adopting in different environment.

He has completed his graduation from Anandomohan College in 2010 in Physics. He has also complete Becholor of Education (B. Ed) in 2012 from Teacher’s training college, Mymensingh.

Md Nayeb Ali. I born at 15 July 1974 in Fulbaria,Mymensingh. His father was a Freedom Fighter. He has completed his graduation from Anandomohan University College in 2013 (private). At present his job career is from 22 august 2015 until now at Development Wheel (DEW) Non government organization in Mymensingh.

He has More than 12 years experience in NGO and development. He is capable of quick adopting in different environment. He likes reading, watch movie & new area travelling. Good minded Team work & Able to work in the villages of the country.

Uzzal kumar is working as a Field Coordinator based in Sherpur Sador (Sherpur) office. He has been working with the APONE project since May 2012. He worked for more than 10 years with different national development organizations like GRAMAUS, UST, CARITAS, Sangkalpa etc. Uzzal completed his Bachelor degree in Agriculture at the Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh.

He completed his Diploma in Agriculture at the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in Dhaka. He worked as a Field Organizer for different development organizations.

Sumitra is working as a Field Mobilizer and is based in Netrokona. She has been working on the ALO project since March 2013. She worked for more than 15 years with national development organizations like Nijera Kori, VDS Gram Unnayan Sangstha etc. She also worked with Development Wheel (DEW) for its SLIPP project. Sumitra completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from Netrokona Govt. College in Netrokona.

Rubel is working as a Field Mobilizer based in Sribordi upazilla, Sherpur district. He has been working on the ALO project since March 2013. He worked for more than 3 years with national development organizations like the Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO). Rubel completed his Bachelor in Social Science from Belkuchi College under the National University.

Abdul Hye completed his Bachelor and Masters in Geography & Environment from Anandamohan College, Mymensingh under National University.

Mamun is working as a Field Mobilizer based in Sribordi upazilla, Sherpur district. He has been working on the ALO project since March 2013. He worked for more than 3 years with national development organizations. Mamun completed his Diploma in Agriculture at the Bangladesh Technical Education Board in Dhaka and received a Bachelor degree in Agriculture from the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT).

Md. Al- Amin was born in Tangail. He has passed the S.S.C exam from karim high school, Silimpur, Delduar, Tangail. He Passed Diploma in Agriculture in Agriculture training institute (ATI) Shimultali, Gazipur. He was a field officer for (CSISA- BD) project under IRRI for 2 years. He worked for APEX Organization for 3 years. At present, a Community Mobilizer of (DEW) KENAF Project. His favorite hobby is relevant with Agriculture Studies.

 

Md. Abdur Rahman

Md. Abdur Rahman has been working around 5 years in different national NGO’s and multinational pesticide company position as field development officer, union community organizer, field facilitator and field officer. He was a Field Facilitator at AESA project of Dhaka Ahsania Mission, a field officer for IRRI, CSISA-BD project, a Union Community Organizer (UCO) for IRRI-SUSFER project.

 

Md. Ferdusur Rahman

 Md. Ferdusur Rahman has completed Diploma in Agriculture from Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Sherpur in 2010. He also has completed a Computer Course in 6 months duration under Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB). He was an Agriculture Office for HISAL projec and Field Officer of CSISA- BD, IRRI Project. Gardening and reading book is his hobby. He is Creative, passionate, professional and friendly. 

Anisur Rahaman

Anisur Rahaman has been working with DEW for the last 13 years in its Savar office. He manages all kinds of DEW activities in Savar like micro enterprise development, environment and non-formal education programmes for disadvantaged students.

Shamsunnahar has been working as a Community Organizer with DEW for the last 13 years. Her working area is Tarakandi, Jamalpur. She is well experienced in community mobilization, group formation and managing the hand embroidery producer groups of DEW.

Laily Begum has been working with DEW for the last four years as a Support Staff. She is mother of several children and has been abandoned by her husband. She migrated from Mymensingh to Dhaka. DEW created her a job in its head office. She cooks very well.

Elias is working as a support staff at DEW Dhaka office. His educational qualification is class eight pass. He used to work in various sectors of the country. He worked as support staff for Income Tax Officer and the APOLLO Hospital. He also worked in the Garments sector and in Dock-yards. He did wilding in shipyard. He can drive motorbikes and cars.

Mr. Prodesh Mankhin is a core staff of Development Wheel (DEW).  He has professional driving experinece with many organization for 9 years before joining to DEW and his education certification is until Secondary School Certificate.He possess a valid driving license.
